Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency and Jakarta Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) are collaborating to socialize the quality assurance and safety of fresh and processed food for supermarket and modern market caretakers.
We want the food that people buy to be of good quality and safe for consumption
The socialization was given virtually and was attended by 100 supermarket and modern market caretakers, including Executing Unit heads of Sub-district KPKP in Jakarta.
Jakarta KPKP Agency Acting Head Suharini Eliawati said it was aimed at realizing the compliance of our partners (supermarket and modern markets) to realize all standard operating procedures (SOP), terms and conditions in marketing fresh food from agriculture, livestock, and fisheries and their processed products.

To implement it, they had collaborated very well in relation to efforts to achieve food security. Based on samples taken from supermarkets and modern market last year, it was not found that food contained dangerous chemicals such as chlorine, formalin, pesticide residues, and heavy metals.
"That means the food is very safe for consumption. Collaboration is also realized with samples that are given for free by supermarkets," she stated.
